Bulletin 4/24

Good morning, today is Monday, April 24, 2017!!!!!

  • Any students in need of hours please see Mrs. Barker.

  • OHS Masquerade Prom is April 29th from 8:30 – 11:30.  Get your presale tickets now.  Couples are $12 and Singles are $8. (receive a mask and beads with presale)  Tickets purchased after April 26th or at the door will be $15 per Couple and $10 per Single.  Guest passes must be completed no later than Wednesday April 26th.

  • Are you looking for something amazing to do this summer?  GEAR UP has many summer camp opportunities ranging from robotics to wild life biology.  If you are interested please see Ms. Miller for details.  Camps are open to current 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th graders.  All costs are paid by GEAR UP.  

  • Upward Bounders are you interested in engineering, electricity, internet service delivery or hydroelectric dams?  If so, join us for a facility tour of the Okanogan PUD and Chief Joseph Dams May 2nd.  Permission slips are outside Meghan's office and are due back by Friday, April 28th.  

  • The World Culture Club will meet in Ms. Miller's room today at lunch.

  • Gear up study tables each Monday-Thursday from 3-5pm in the library, as well as daily homework completion during lunch in the home ec room.

  • Upward Bounders, do you need community service hours?  Join us on May 6th at Camp Ortoha (Lost Lake) for a day of raking, dusting, shining and more!  See Meghan for more details!

  • All juniors, there is a prom meeting in Mr. Kindred's room on Wednesday at lunch. Please remember to bring your decorations to Mrs. Millers room

  • Congratulations to the following FBLA members:

    • State champion - Tori Kindred in Future Business Leader and 2nd place in Healthcare Administration

    • Mikaela McCoy new state officer, Vice President for the North Central Region

    • Tori Kindred, one of the top 4 competitors in HS Events, and State Officer Mikaela McCoy will attend FBLA Nationals in Anaheim, CA this June.

    • Recognition on stage at State:

      • Maxwell Turner, 10th Accounting II

      • Leo Chen, 10th Introduction to Business, 1st Mid Level Career Exploration, 1st Mid Level introduction to business communication

      • Sami Turner, 3rd in Mid Level Introduction to Business communication

      • Elijah Burnell and Andrew Del Rosario, 5th Network Design.

      • A sincere thank you to Jennifer Cisneros for her hard work and dedication to the North Central Region FBLA this past year as Vice President and to our Oroville Chapter.
